The prices are good and the staff are friendly. It is a good place to meet before heading for the train. It can become quite cramped at times.
Popped in last night for a few drinks with work colleagues....There was a band playing who were very good....Reasonable prices for drinks....All staff and patrons very friendly....x
Staff were friendly thats where it ends unfortuanatly, Opted for soup and a sandwich the other half chips and gravy , simple enough you would have thought. soup arrived watery tasteless , sat for a few minutes before the spoon was delivered no roll or bread for the soup ? halfway through the soup I was asked if i wanted a panini as they had run out of bread, this was 12 30 there was 6 people in the place not thinking I said yes . 1/2 hour later it arrives with my mrs chips and gravy again tasteless , very poor offerings years since iv been in here sorry will be years again.
Arrived at the tailend of a Saturday night in Kilmarnock. Credit where credit is due the staff and stewards were friendly enough. The price if the round was reasonable. But the atmosphere was flat. On a karioke night you would have expected more of a crowd and more of a buzz. A bit let down if truth be told.
A Friday night experience we will never forget. A Live Rock Band who were excellent entertainment. The Beer selection was a little sparse, but of good quality. The Pub itself was full of character, and you can imagine all the former customers over the years being there. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
