You could have pizza didn't try that, pasta my friend went pqsta, he would have left hungry if we hadn't cshared our chips. pasta portions were very small. My daughter more than loved her Scampi. The forth friend enjoyed nite Chicken Milanese.. .. Some of us went starters, some went pudding... For the four of us, 1 bottle of wine between me and m friend, some cider forhim, one of was a tad expensive. But so pleased I went steak. If You want to treat yourself, do it properly, and do do it at .Loudoun Hill with their beef.
Fantastic! I can't say enough about this restaurant. I traveled all the way from Australia to visit my family in Darvel, and this place exceeded all expectations with its service, hospitality, and incredibly delicious and well-presented food. The speed of service was impressive as well. Our party of five was seated outside and quickly served drinks and food, all at the same time. The portion sizes were generous and we all left feeling completely satisfied. It was a fantastic experience, thanks again for the wonderful and professional service!
Me and my daughter a d her dog aldis turned up at 12 .15 and were greeted with a warm welcome and were told they were a dog friendly restaurant we had two cappuccino,s a lovely pizza and piri piri chips the meal was brilliant and the waitress was very helpful giving alfie a lovely cold bowl of water couldn't faulty it after a climb up Loudon hill will definitely return sometimes you wonder why people give bad reviews while people work so hard to please find these people quite sad
My husband and I visited this restaurant for his birthday dinner. Our first impressions were positive, with a chef in his whites in the kitchen. However, I was disappointed when I requested a half portion of lasagna due to my recent surgery and was told it was not possible. Instead, I was offered options from the kids menu, which did not appeal to me as an adult. My husband ordered breaded fish with chips and peas, but we were both disappointed to find that they were frozen and lacked freshness. The overall dinner was mediocre, and we do not plan on returning. We suggest that Loudoun Hill updates their menu to cater to a wider customer base and eliminates frozen food in favor of fresh ingredients. The frozen fish, chips, and peas did not meet our expectations.
Lovely restaurant with wooden beams, wood burning stove, and views over the rolling countryside. Warm welcome from the front of house, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Food is locally sourced and delicious. Lamb chops were fabulous. Extensive menu to cater for all tastes they even have a dog menu! fantastic if you're out for a walk with your pooch and fancy a relaxing Sunday lunch. Worth the trip and will definitely be back.
