There were a couple of issues, possibly due to new owners taking over on Monday - they ran out of Menabrea and bottles of Peroni halfway through the evening, and some dishes on the menu were not available, probably because they were running down stock before the management change. Despite these minor issues, the food was delicious, well-prepared, and well-presented. Our bill for a group of 12 came to just over £300.00. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit and we hope the new owners maintain the high standard of the restaurant.
This was hands down the worst dining experience I can recall in a long time. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived and we were eventually asked to stand in a corner that was too small for our group. Every wine we tried to order was either out of stock or we were told there was only one bottle left. The Pollo Milanese, which was supposed to be served with spaghetti, came with penne instead (likely from a package). How does an Italian restaurant run out of fresh spaghetti? The Milanese was bland and lacked seasoning. Three out of the four pizzas we ordered had burnt bases. The staff seemed uninterested and unengaged. This was absolutely the worst dining experience ever.
Prompt welcome at the door, reception area is badly positioned, too near the door. Food took a long time to arrive, main courses were very good, coffee was great. Customer service a bit of let Down, no parmesan or black pepper offered and no one asked if food was ok., or acknowledged and thanks goodbye on leaving. Staff were clearly busy, rushing a lot. Small things can let down a place. I will return for a lunch however.
My step daughter (age 21) and her grandparents (age 80) went along for a meal then other night and when my SD ordered a cocktail she was refused due to her age! When she produced her Passport she was told that you need to be 25 to drink on the premises. Rules are rules and we respect them however, we won’t be back and I would suggest if your with anyone under 25 do not head here for a night out. Go somewhere that the legal age of 18 is allowed
Went for meal last night, food was cold, taken back and fresh meal prepared, still not warm in centre. By time my second meal was brought out, my partner was finished his meal. Did receive apology but would have expected some offer of discount or a free drink/desert. Will not be back.
