Contribuisci feedbackBest menudo in the area. Tacos de lengua are chef's kiss. Can't go wrong w/the burritos suizos, too.
I had a bad experience over there, the waitresses were talking all the time and nobody attended me. The food wasn't fresh and it had high prices in all the plates.
Great atmosphere real Mexican foodAwesome people. Well most definitely be back soon
It breaks my heart to leave this review, but I must. I have eaten at Tienda El Ranchito for over 10 years. It was my favorite Mexican restaurant because of its authenticity and quality food. I recommended it highly, told tons of people about it, and introduced many friends to it. The service was always decent and friendly. I live 40 minutes away and gladly made the drive. However, since Covid, it seems that things have been on the downgrade. This culminated for me recently. I ate here the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it was dreadful. The food tasted off and was barely warm, although the plate was scorching hot. I always order the Enchiladas Suizas, and the taste was nearly rancid. The guy waiting on me didn't notice that I barely ate 1/2 of one of my four burritos and barely touched my beans and rice. He didn't ask if anything was wrong or even if I wanted a take home container. In fact, he never checked on me once after dropping off the food. I didn't eat much because I truly thought it might make me sick, so I pushed the plate away and waited. Even at the bar, I was paid absolutely no attention. Once I finally got his attention and asked for my bill, he stood directly in front of me and mixed drinks for 15 minutes before getting my check. I worked food service in high school and college. I'm very sympathetic to servers, and all I ask is that they are friendly and are trying to provide good service. I tip very generously, but I won't pay for both poor food and a complete absence of service. My bill was $23.42. I put down $24.00 and walked out. I won't be back for a long time, if ever.
I ordered fajitas. Fajitas are supposed to come out sizzling hot! You should see steam billowing from the skillet. They were barely warm...no sizzle...no steam. I asked for no onion there were a few mixed in...not many but this was mostly peppers...hardly any meat. This is not the restaurant I raved about a few years ago. Sadly disappointed this time it's unfortunate but I wont go back any time soon.
