I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I went on a two-hour lunch cruise and it was definitely worth the $70. The food was fresh and delicious, and the paddle steamer was well-maintained and authentic. The engine was impressive to see in action. However, my favorite part was the young lady captain who skillfully drove the vessel. Her commentary was witty, interesting, and perfectly timed - not too frequent or too long.
Catering was fantastic ... wait-staff were friendly and helpful ... cruise was informative and relevant ... even did the Titanic thing on the bow of the paddlesteamer ... great day.
We took our children on a lunch cruise on the Emmylou. It cost a fair bit, but for that money we got a 2 hour cruise, and a really well done lunch. Considering what they have to work with, in regards to space and time, the quality was excellent. The girls had hamburgers on a gorgeous focaccia bun - which they failed to appreciate, but I thought was divine!! The chips were brilliant!! Chips are really hard to get right, and they did it on a paddlesteamer! I had a curry, which was extremely tasty, but I had hoped for a different dish that they'd run out of. Oh well, perhaps next time I could try again. I hope that I get to do it again. It was a particularly lovely excursion.
Service was brilliant but food wasn't the best quality steak was that chewy it wasn't funny, their was a group of older women who decided to get right on the alcoholic bevs which I am all for but didn't get extremely rowdy and inappropriate, my now husband had the ring and was going to ask me to marry him but it wasn't ruined by the oldies, staff should be more mindful of how much is being served and when to cut people off
