Went there around 5:30PM on Friday, December 23rd. The guy who worked the counter provided very slow service and had an attitude in his tone. He also tried to charge me for the complimentary soup that they give for dine in.
This place usually has a shorter line than the other places but they have a great selection if you're in the mood for a Japanese hamburger. They have a selection of other combos with dumplings, fried rice, shrimp, etc. We usually get the combo Japanese Teriyaki Hamburger with fried rice. We get a single patty but you can also order the double patty. The combo is about ~12. Teriyaki sauce is great! I think the portions have become smaller over time, prob due to inflation. The fried rice also had little toppings. It was more like rice with a slice or two of fried egg. I am not sure if this was just leftovers and not a fresh batch? We have been here a few times over the years so was kind of disappointed. It does feel like they give you more food if you dine in and not take out. Just an observation.
Terrible service. The food doesn’t match the plastic display on the wall and they were super rude. We had two people, and asked for an empty cup. They said “we don’t give out cups”.
I've been going to Mitsuwa for decades, and never tried Tokyo Hanten until recently. I always said I would, but would then always fall back to one of my default counters. I'm so glad I finally decided to get the scallion Mabo Hamburg w/ fried rice. It was really good.I never understand why Tokyo Hanten has the least lines and their service is way quicker than the other stalls. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back more often.
