Parlour and Tellers Room - Edinburgh

Though the waiter was pleasant, the table was not properly set when we arrived. We had to ask for various items such as a teaspoon, sugar, hot water, jam, and a knife for cutting. The actual meal was enjoyable, although the mushroom-filled profiteroles had a strange chocolate coating. The grilled sandwich with sweet chili was tasty, but overall the meal leaned towards the sweeter side. The portion sizes were generous and we ended up taking some leftovers home to share. The scones were particularly delicious.

Eating was ok very louder area service quite slow, I would also think that the server should know what is the afternoon teastand! Not that a 10% service fee is automatically added either- our bill had tee and coffee added, which was wrong because it should be included in the price of the afternoon tea. unfortunately they were not able to adjust the bill as they needed a manager registration and there was no manager available

Very impressive afternoon. wish they served the drinks before eating and we wish tea and coffee offered throughout and faster. Apart from that, everything was really good.

Rarer wee day with my mother. quite error-free. only the question was that it should be unlimited tea/coffee, but apart from a drink at the arrival we did not offer any other drinks. after an hour we had to ask for an employee. eating is nice.

We had a lovely afternoon tea and recommend it. We had to go home with a few cakes as there was more than enough. Also liked that it was all served using tea sets that were bought from local charity shops. Lastly the staff were lovely too.
