The sauce is ok, but at first taste it was overly vinegary probably just needed to be mixed better, cus after awhile, it was pretty good. The wait staff were ok, at first. The food didn't take too long to get to the table. The Texas Twinkies are wonderful! The bad: The brisket really is not as good as everyone says on here. It did not have a good smokey flavor, and it was a bit sweet, too sweet, even without the sauce. (Try Sparky's in Hatch and come back and tell me that this is better than Sparky's. Even Rudy's barbecue chain is better, sorry). The ribs were just ok. Nothing special. And not much meat. The sausage... Well, I was expecting it to look like it does in their pictures... Like it was thrown on the grill and basted in sauce. It was just a cold sausage from the frig partially sliced. Very disappointed I could get that anywhere for a quarter of the price. I'd say it was also overpriced. Three small ribs, three slices of brisket and a store bought sausage... a dollop of mac n cheese, that, as one other person noted, had a grainy texture. The main negative I have though, is that there must be MSG in their rub, sauce, or macaroni, or an MSG derivative (hydrolyzed proteins, inosinates... are the worst) because I am allergic to MSG and get really sick, as I did within 1/2 1 hr after eating there. To be clear, it wasn't food poisoning sick, it was MSG sick headache, nausea, vomitting this happens whenever I consume MSG. I don't expect local places to use it, I thought it'd be safe. Very disappointed.
Pretty funky place, but the food was the bomb. Out of ribs and chicken when I got there but the brisket and pulled pork were moist and tender. Mac cheese was good too.
Visiting from East Texas, drove by this place and decided to give it a try and boy are we glad we did!! I had the Triple Meat Plate, included brisket, baby back ribs and sausage with a coleslaw side. Super impressed with all of the meat, but especially the brisket, which had an incredible bark and a very subtle glaze that I think was hot sauce and it was fantastic. Wife is a vegan so she just had beans (amazing) and coleslaw but she loved both. My favorite part of this restaurant, however, was the resume of owner Jesus on the wall. How original!! In fact, Jesus was moving thru the restaurant making sure everyone liked the food: he got all thumbs up! Great place and we will be back.
If your in the mood for Bar b que this is the place to come! Awesome service and the food was beyond great!! Definitely will come back and tell my family and friends about this place!!’
Seriously amazing BBQ! Seasoned cooked to absolute perfection. The owner was so kind hospitable. If you're ever traveling through/visiting El Paso this is a must to stop at
