The Recky never disappoints Excellent food We had the prawn fettuccine and Beef burger on Turkish bread. Outstanding I absolutely enjoy every meal. Service is great. Beer is perfect. Scenery exquisite A must for all travelers to Forster. We live here and enjoy as much as possible

Great location with view over Wallis Lake. Deck is great place to sit in late afternoon for a drink for dinner on summer evenings. Great food do takeaways as well as eat in. Courtesy bus services Pacific Palms local area will collect drop off.

We ate our dinner on a pleasant balcony overlooking the lake rather than in the completely bland and characterless bistro dining room. There was a reasonable choice of typical club dishes and our meals were quite acceptable and reasonably priced, with pleasant service from the staff.

What happened? We have been coming to this area for 20 years and always go to the Reckie for a night out. What has happened? Food was a no go.No fresh cooked bistro meals just a buffet

Thought I’d give it another try but should not have bothered. We ordered entrees and mains. Garlic bread was not garlic and on sourdough so was hard as a rock, tempura prawns 3 out of a box . Absolutely disappointed in the quality and quantity of both entrees. Then waiting waiting waiting!!! An hour later we went up to ask about our main meals, 10 more minutes they said. Med rare steak was medium well if not well done and all luke warm. I tried to eat as I was hungry at this point and was getting late but I had to take it back. Another 20 minutes and waiting, I went to the counter to ask about my steak and it was sitting there for who knows how long. Cooked good this time but luke warm again. Definitely will not be back for another try. Wasn’t that busy and looked to be plenty of staff in the kitchen. Such a shame
