Smokey Trail Bbq - Elizabeth

This is BBQ place is incredible! I have been coming here every week or every other week for a few months, I got a job near by and my employer said it was a great place, possibly the best bbq in the area. I think he's only around on Thursday or Friday, but just makes me look forward to Friday even more.The meat is so tender, if you go a little later for lunch there's no line so it's easy. It's just in the parking lot off exit 10A at the Bravo super market. Only place I know that hands out gloves that's how you know they got the sauce!

Authentic smoked meats and poultry! The laid-back pitmaster operates an impressive smoker truck. They offer a wide range of options and everything is extremely well organized. I arrived at 12:30 and was the first to be served. I ordered a variety of ribs, brisket, a whole chicken, and chicken wings, along with sides of beans, coleslaw, and macaroni (three delicious sauces were included) for my office. I was well attended to, and my coworkers loved everything! I will definitely be back!

The smoked ribs and beef brisket are fantastic! I fell in love with them while watching football on Sunday. I tried to get some the next day, but unfortunately, they were closed! I also appreciate the variety of BBQ sauces they offer. The sides were delicious too. I'm planning to get some for lunch today!

Not only do they serve delicious food, but the staff are also very kind. We arrived late when they were about to close, yet they still welcomed us. This is another reason why we love supporting local businesses. They genuinely care for their customers and take pride in their service. Highly recommended—best brisket I've ever had!

I had a deeply concerning experience at Smokey Tails, owned by Greg Moody. It appears that he mistreats his employees both mentally and physically. On October 6th, 2022, while I was there to buy some ribs, I witnessed Greg hit one of his employees so hard that it knocked the employee's hat off. This poor individual was visibly shaken and confused while taking my order. Greg regularly speaks disrespectfully to him in front of customers, which is shocking behavior for someone in a managerial position. It's hard to fathom how someone can be so cruel to their own staff. I can't help but wonder what his behavior is like at home. I believe that karma will eventually catch up to him. No one should ever lay a hand on another person, and to treat employees and customers with such disrespect is unacceptable. I will never return to this establishment.
