The only thumbs down I would give is that you have to order rice separately. The Chinese tradition is egg drop soup along with tea. Pre Covid it was included, but not anymore. So we had to order the rice separately, or I would just have had a plate of chicken with nothing else. The chicken was 19.95 alone. Overall, the taste is great.
Lately, in the last year, bad waitress service. Waitress does not put my food order in right away or forgets too, after I ask. I have to ask after waiting 30 to 40 minutes, if my food is coming out soon. The waitress never greets me or thanks us for dining there. We use to tip well but was not happy at all today or last 3 times eating at Chef Cheungs. She never checks to see if I am doing ok. Waiting long time for food during off hours and the menu items have increased but the serving portions are getting smaller. We have been eating here for years but not returning again after the rude service today by the same waitress.
Took a chance on a Chinese restaurant in Northern Nevada and was not disappointed. With wife in tow we walked into an unassuming building carrying low expectations. We opted for lettuce wraps and dinner for 2 showcasing sweet and sour pork, chicken Chaw mein, hot and sour soup, and fried prawns. First was the soup, which for once did not carry the funky odor usual for hot and sour soup, it had nice citrus notes and a nice flavor. Next came the lettuce wraps which were sublime and deliciously crunchy. The main course came out in rapid succession with more food than we could eat. The batter and glaze on the SS pork was perfect with an airyness that had a delectable finish. I haven't had chow mein this good anywhere along the I80 and the ham fried rice was surprisingly good. 5/5. Worth the stop.
Food was ok, sweet and sour chicken had a hard outside. Rice looked old and wasn’t flavorful. Not bad for a small town. But I’m use to big city flavor. The shrimp was good. The servers were nice and came often to fill up the waters and ask if we needed anything.
Great food! Even our kids that don 't like chinese food were asking for more. We had the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, pot stickers, wontons, and crab Rangoon.
