The music was loud though so hard to converse with each other and hear what was being said. There were four of us, we each ordered, two flatbread pizzas, fettuccine and a burger. Everyone received their food long delay but understand with the pandemic these days that's how it is. My pizza was not what I ordered. After waiting a long period of time for the correct pizza, and the others in my party done eating their food, I just asked that it be boxed and I'll take it home. Got home, opened the box, wrong pizza again same kind that came to me initially. I'm disappointed in this place as it has a great atmosphere. Not sure I'll return.
We decided to give Chef Lawless another try for a meal. The last time we struggled somewhat with the bar being separate from the bistro upon ordering and paying. If I remember the last time we visited we just had a couple of cocktails from the bar and a side of her onion rings that were nicely plated (if there really is a nice way to plate onion rings). We just weren 't convinced and decided to follow some of her hype and attend brunch on a Sunday. The brunch ended swiftly as our server came back to our table to report to us that there were no Crab-cake Benedict this morning. There were only 3 other people seated upon entry and no one outside as we had observed from the drive in. Upon initially being seated I specifically asked two questions 'cause I just had that feeling. Are there any specials not on the menu? and Are there any items on the menu not available today? Both we 're answered swiftly, without any hesitation, No . I 've got a feeling that Lawless would be attempting to down-play this scenario that happened by saying that the server was new . . . But I 'm not buying that since my questions were asked immediately upon being seated, the server had plenty of time to ask the questions of the Chef if she didn 't really know. And, they had already been open for two hours this morning and just ran out? Then, the server didn 't know that answer 3 minutes ago before she seated us? It certainly wasn 't busy (about 3 other patrons already seated and another family of 5 came in just behind us. Our first table that we were seated at and the one immediately next to it were so crooked and wobbly that it took two dinner napkins to stop the rocking. Then it was leaning so hard that we just up and moved ourselves to the only other table available. Our server had come by just a moment later to say, Sorry, we haven 't fixed the place up yet after a wedding yesterday . The place was somewhat still trashed from the night before and we showed up two hours after their posted hours of operation this Sunday. Not to say Chef Lawless isn 't capable of her capacity here. I would say she is not engaged. To have a patron arrive two hours into service and the Chef be alarmed that there are no crab cakes and the place is still trashed from the night before. I don 't know if we will ever return unless the reviews start raving or perhaps I see something super positive about Flawless in the news. Hell 's Kitchen is coming to town; perhaps she needs a bit more guidance (large wooden spoon) from Ramsey. Keep trying folks. Get 'er fired up. Dicks
Was very disappointed. We ordered the flawless Ceasar salad with chicken. It started out came with pickled red onion which is what peaked my interest, when we received it there was no pickled red onion so I inquired about it, he took my plate and came back with 2 small pieces of onion on it. The dressing wasn't great, the croutons were horrible and the lettuce I think same from a bag and not at all crispy. The chicken was over cooked and tasted like card board. The Tennessee chicken sandwich was just ok and pretty much was a friend piece of chicken with Frank's Red Hot sauce on it. I ordered the truffle mac n cheese with bacon, it did not taste like trufle at all and had no bacon in it. I was really hoping for more. With the money we spent there on dinner we could have gone to a better restaurant and spent less. I would not recommend dining here.
I'm so bummed about the experience here. Come on Laure, You know better than this. Gordon would be so disappointed. I'm Sure it's hard times right now with running a restaurant. But if you are going to serve food please don't serve of us frozen shoestring fries. How hard is it cook fries from potatoes. I can even do that in my home kitchen. The fish and chips were greasy and the cole slaw was bland. And you charged me $18.99. I was excited to have a fun place with a good view to come to for a drink and dinner with entertainment. But unless This place changes. I don't think we will be back. Please clean this place up and fix for menu and prices. Not sure Gordon would approve at all.
Nice place. Beautiful, roomy outdoor stone patio for dining. Wonderful, roomy dancefloor, DJ in the corner. Bathrooms were clean, but small and really old-looking. Drinks n food were average. $18 Fish n Chips, only 2 fillets. $16 Burger was huge, but undercooked. Both with fries. There 's a 3.5% 'convenience fee ' on the bill?! Nobody could explain what it was for?!! Waitress Danielle was very helpful, said the place was packed last night, for a live 70 's/80 's band. But tonight we went for the Country linedancing, lessons n music...NO Lessons, only about 15 people on the dancefloor, at 9pm on a Saturday. Clearly not a popular linedancing venue! The grounds were beautiful, small bar, limited free parking, super nice staff and patrons. But I can 't give it more than 3 stars. Nothing much going on.
