The portion sizes are very generous and the hot stone Bibimbap came out, which was perfect. The gochujang was served on the side so you could add as much or as little as you wanted. I will definitely come back
The food was good. I went on a Sunday when it was almost empty. I'm not sure about the service in general. I felt kind of rushed through the meal and it wasn't even close to the closing time. Overall, the portions are generous and the food is delicious.
The flavors seem more than slightly toned down here, to appeal to what they think is their audience I guess. And they have timing challenges. We did a pickup order and it was about 20 minutes later than they stated when the order was placed. But overall, not bad. That being said, there are a number of Korean places within a short drive and this place has not made itself a default. I will order again I 'm sure and I will try different menu options.
Overall, not good, would not recommend. Our waiter was friendly but they must be understaffed, there was almost no one in the restaurant but our food took half an hour to come. Our appetizer (seafood pancake) was inedible really thick, with a terrible fishy flavor, they did take it back and did not charge us as we barely ate a bite. Our main dishes were edible but not good. Without the sauce on my monster tonkatsu it was totally flavorless. We'd eaten at other Korean restaurants that were far better.
Our table ordered the bulgolgi and we were clearly served 40% the usual portion size. I know because I’ve had the dish from Kokomo before) Our O-Sam bulgolgi was forgotten. It took over an hour to receive all food. All our orders were lukewarm upon arrival. Including the skimped bulgogi dish) Additionally the tofu part of a dish was cold. Monster pork dishes, while large, were dry, and the flavor, especially from the sauce, was unpleasant tasting relative to any Korean fried pork dish. If you want better deep fried pork, go to Koco table or Kansaku. The only reason why this place gets 2 stars is because the takoyaki/side dishes were very good 1 star) and the cheese fries were tasty +1 stars) the main dishes served today were extremely low quality, but the staff was very kind and responsive.
