It’s like going to an old friend’s childhood home for a familiar, homemade meal. Despite the consistently increasing prices and shrinking sizes of the portion, some of our favorites are the jarra de sangria, patatas bravas, queso de cabra en salsa de jitomate, mejillones a la plancha, and the calamares. Las croquetas de jamón serrano were not available the last few times we went, and this is very disappointing. There was some other kind of croqueta that day, but the server told us he didn’t recommend them. Overall, I just like the consistency of knowing that I will like what I order. The wait staff is always lovely and friendly. The one eye sore is the jumble of wooden high chairs in the corner by the cold tapas area. That used to be the main entrance. Surely, there must be a better solution than chucking a bunch of unused high chairs next to where 4-5 tables worth of people are trying to enjoy a nice meal. I think this is an area of opportunity for improvement. Parking: I always park in the paid parking garage a block away because street parking is difficult to come by.
I would definitely repeat. Excellent service and food. I really loved it ?
The food was okay, but our experience was significantly marred by the waitress serving our table of ten. She was rude and impatient from the beginning to the end of our meal. At the end, she picked up the utensils in a harsh manner, almost banging them together.
All of the food we ordered was stone cold except the paella. Desserts were good but the food was beyond disappointing. Service was also good but the food made the entire experience horrible and felt like a waste of money.
Lovely spot for a leisurely dinner! Food was great, kind service, and very reasonable prices. I'm always looking for an excuse to go here again :
