Lin's Asian Bistro - Fairbanks

We almost passed by the restaurant because the parking lot was empty, but since it was 3 o'clock, we understood why. We're so glad we decided to go in! They offer a fantastic lunch special for $15 per person, which includes soup, BBQ pork, fried rice, and a fried egg roll. Every bite was delicious! The customer service was also outstanding!

I used to be a huge fan of Bamboo Panda, but after ordering from this restaurant, my opinion has changed. The ambiance is beautiful, and the overall experience is definitely better. It's a bit more pricey, but you get three victories instead of two, which makes it worth it.

The dining experience was fantastic; you can order just about anything you can think of. The presentation of the dishes is always beautiful. The staff in the restaurant could have been a bit friendlier, but since I visited on New Year’s Eve, that might have been influenced by the holiday rush. The interior of the restaurant is quite nice! To be honest, I didn’t know Fairbanks had a place like this. The only downside was that our food didn’t arrive all at once, even though we all ordered together (I just arrived a little late), and it took an additional 7-10 minutes for me to receive mine.

That said, the Tom Kha Gai is quite good, and the pad Thai is decent, so I recommend trying those. Unfortunately, I haven't been very impressed with other menu items. However, if you're looking for Chinese delivery, it's worth considering. It seems like many places overlook the North Pole zip code, even though we're technically not outside the town limits. What a hassle!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is decent. However, the food is equivalent to what you'd find in frozen bags at the supermarket. My noodles were so hot they burned my mouth, while the meat inside was still cold. The portion sizes are small, so I ended up having to eat a protein bar once I got back to work. Overall, I'm not particularly impressed, but I understand that running a business in Fairbanks can be challenging.
