(and still is) my boyfrienddecided to be fancy for the occasion and get the filet mignon and he absolutely enjoyed it. oh and yes, the mashed potatoes wereexcellent and yes i’m one of those people who eats them with ketchup.. we also got dessert to go, and you know sometimes thatcan make things a hit or miss from restaurants.. oh was it a hit! one of the best cookies i’ve ever tasted. with my boyfriendgetting the tiramisu, but i didn’t get a time to take a photo.. so you know he enjoyed it! Oh! and our waitress, i can’tremember her name but she was so so SO kind, and checked on us regularly, even made small laughs with us. the only thing iwould recommend in the future is to possibly maybe have an non alcoholic drink menu or add it to the existing drink menu. ourwaitress was kind enough to list them off all though, and made a delicious shirley temple. i can’t wait for our 3rdanniversary so we can come back. or maybe i can convince him sooner! but, pasta house or bocca, you’re now a tradition in ourlittle love story.
All the food was very good. I wasn’t impressed with the espresso and the cappuccino. I ordered a shot and regular cappuccino and received less than half of a shot of espresso, very very disappointing. The cappuccino was mostly espresso maybe that’swhere the shot I ordered ended up, There was practically no foam and there was espresso grounds inside. You shouldn’t beserving espresso based beverages if you can’t pull a shot or make a simple cappuccino.
Tried Bocca for the first time since the rebranding. Started with Calamari and its still some of the best in the area. Had the Carne and Portuguese Steak pizza. Both were pretty good. Decent amount of toppings. New dough is an improvement, but the Pizzahad a little too much flop. Could have used a little more crunch. Overall, I'd say marginal improvement.
Known previously as the Pasta House and Now Renamed as Bocca. They recently remodeled the place and it is beautiful. Last night we decided to give it a try and glad we did. The staff are always, welcoming and friendly. I decided on the Baked Haddock, FreshRoasted Veggies, and Mashed Potatoes. My daughter ordered the Sauté Tips, another Great Choice. Starting with the appetizers. We ordered the Crab cakes, golden brown and cooked to perfection. Great Taste too. Our waitress deserves recognition for theProfessionalism friendly Service she provided while serving us. Making sure that our drinks never hit the end mode. I highlyrecommend this place to you!
Although the wait staff I encountered in the bar area were phenomenal, attentive, and everything you would love in a server... The food I wasn't personally impressed with... Not only did I ask for the fresh pasta of the day, and not receive it... I hadthe veal piccata, which was literally like soup.. never in my life have I ever had a dish like that so watery... Wouldn'trecommend that dish... For the price you pay, the quality is just not there... Maybe someday I'll give it another shot, but itdefinitely wouldn't be tomorrow... The wine was great though..
