Le Bouchon was recommended to us by locals and certainly solved the problem of finding somewhere good to eat on a Monday evening in Fecamp when many of the best restaurants are closed. However, it is small and popular so do book. The menu + special of the day offered good choice and excellent value. I thoroughly enjoyed the tender and succulent pork cheek with preserved lemon and my partner was very happy with her confit de canard in cider. The only thing that might have improved the experience for us would have been some fresh vegetables rather than salad garnish with the main courses.Service was friendly and relaxed. We would certainly go back if we ever found ourselves in Fecamp again.
Fantastic value - three course gourmet meal at 18 euros and a bottle of awarding house wine. I had the Fioe Gras to kick things off, followed by the filet steak - saignant - that was cooked to perfection and a Tiramisu to die for. Intimate surroundings along with the attentive family service kept us there longer than we anticipated sipping a velvety wooded 2011 Bordeaux Superieur from the Chateau Pierrail. Highly recommended Colm
Fantastic!
We booked a table at this restaurant as it looked quite appealing with its decor and lighting. However we were shown into a different room behind the kitchen, this room was unattractive nd completely lacking in ambiance. However after complaining and with a half an hour wait we were given a table in the front restaurant. The meal then felt rushed and as we were the last diners the staff were clearing up around us and obviously wanted to close the restaurant. It was only 9.15pm.
