I immediately ask the receptionist for a take away menu and she tells me there is no menu only the dine in customers menu.So I look through the menu and I’m told they don’t do take away it’s dine in only. She was extremely rude and aggressive towards me too and I felt intimidated for even asking. I’m a young white male and I kind of felt like they were being racist against me. Somethings happening in the Ponds, the Indians are taking over...and trying to own the entire suburb. Not recommended, try the tamprabone castle in Kellyville for quality Sri Lankan food
Food arrived an hour late (we ordered meals, not sure how meals could take long). Finally when the food did arrived, all the curries were cold, food is tasteless. The curd had a hair in it, I returned it and I got no apologies neither any replacement. The ambiance is not great, quite small and congested. Service is pathetic. Waiters are rude. While paying the bill, we told them about our dining experience, again no apologies and the guy at counter is smiling! After paying, we were leaving and they started laughing for what we said, it was a horrible experience. This place got no good food, pathetic service, bad ambience, unapologetic and rude waiters. If possible I would have given zero stars. Other high rated reviews seem fake, just to increase the stars. Looks like there were other customers who experienced the same and yet the owner has done nothing about it. The Parramatta branch is so much better, ponds branch seriously sucks!
Customer service was lovely however a better understanding of gluten free needs would be good ... naan bread is NOT gluten free. Food was nice. Long menu but lots of same dish with slight variations. Give it a try we enjoyed our meals.
WOW this has to be my most memorable experience so far!It started with a 35 minutes wait for the table. We wouldn't have gone there to be honest if we knew the wait would be that long. But we couldn't possibly find that out as they never answer calls because no one is ever at the reception. The waiter came to take our order after 5 minutes at the table only to realise he never gave as the menu. Anyway, we were starving so we only ordered south indian meals thinking that would be quick oh boy we couldn't be more wrong! Not sure if they knew we were there for our dinner not for breakfast the next day.Our order arrived after exactly 57 minutes at the table which included 3 reminders to the waiter. Same was the case with two other tables next to us. The food was quite ordinary. It wasn't hot at all, just warm but Dal was at room temperature. To top that, I found a hair in my raita. The waiter took it away to replace it but never came back with the replacement. One of their meal items was missing from my plate and there was no cutlery at our table and no staff around so I had to go ask for it at their kitchen. The staff clearly didn't know what their responsibilities were. Everyone was running around trying to do everything there was no coordination whatsoever. And then there was someone throwing dishes like crazy in the kitchen. It was really loud. I am sure there was definitely something going on in there. The waiter did mention they are having a problem in the kitchen when we complained about the long wait. And when we were leaving, the two guys at the reception had the audacity to chuckle behind our back but when they realised I caught them doing that they immediately turned a serious face and one of the them left immediately to go to the kitchen. When I confronted the guy at the reception about it he made an excuse that they were laughing about something else entirely. Such a disgraceful behaviour. So like I said, my most memorable experience so far.
Great food. We eat there regularly and it is consistently amazing, the best vegetarian Indian restaurant around.
