The Cheese Shop At Appel Farms

The other day I stopped into the destination Appel Cheese creamery, deli and was off the chart impressed. Such a beautiful new structure well appointed. I had been in a drama production years ago with this family and my daughter and had made that connection. The lunch was great. Then had a little tour of the room where they carry a LOT of local Whatcom County offerings of food and so on. As a realtor I look for unique gifts to give to clients as they close on a new home. I found a wonderful box full of local products including the Appel cheeses. I bought another gift of cheese as well. Then I purchased a tour of the creamery with a cheese and wine pairing session. I am excited to get a few friends and visit for this experience soon! It is a destination but well wroth the visit. There are Boxx Berry Farm and a Lavender Farm nearby that are good visits while in the immediate area. I will do my best to get people to this great and delicious experience and will buy more gifts for clients here as well in the future. Make the trip out to the country!

Very friendly and great cheese! They sell ice cream too! Be sure to say hello to the cow!

Popped by for a little happy hour on my own. The rose slushy was lovely and the feta and olive dip was so incredible! The shop has an amazing selection of gourmet groceries and some of my favorite wines too.

The Squeakers are absolutely amazing, and even thought its a cheese shop the sandwiches have become one of my favorite go to whenever I'm in the area looking for a quick bite to eat
