The fabulous mountain restaurant for rest and warm up, located at the Penkenjoch over 2000m. Pretty Tyrolean, very nice decorated hut. Traditional dishes, fast service with smile. Free Wi-Fi. You can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view on the terrace. A big playground for kids outside. The restaurant can be reached on foot from the cable car.
We booked a table at Christa's for our second day skiing (there were 11 of us) and they happily served us at the table (it has a buffet service as well.) The staff were fantastic, the food was great and we had a good meal. It was so good we went back another two times - sitting outside at the bar for a drink in the sun was fabulous. They have some lovely food and also great wines and beers. George (the owner) was extremely friendly and recommended some lovely wines and also spent some time to tell us about the history of the area and the restaurant. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thanks.
Reasonable food but it's self serviceWas absolutely jammed at lunchtimeAverage prices for the TyrolTake time with the menu as it's all in German and I didn't get what I expectedWill translate fully before I get the in the queue next time as I felt rushedHad better - although the kids spag bol was good
Top of the Finkenberg Bahn. We had an excellent home made cake and latte. The staff very accomodating relating exactly what was in the cake as my wife has an apple/peach allergy. The view from their deck chairs with wraps if you need them
