Contribuisci feedbackGreat food, real tasty. I would rate their the pad thai as very very good not the best ive ever had, but extremely good). Try it, and give your feedback! that's how confident I am about the quality. Appearance of dinning is similar to a lunch bar, could do with a make over. Value for money lunches. Prompt service. Could do with eftpos facilities.
Most Thai restaurants in Canberra have been localized in taste. They are not authentic to Thai people. However, this place is one of the best places in ACT and NSW, and probably the best in Canberra. As a Thai, I can guarantee the food here is authentic Thai. As for Pad Thai, this one is the second best I have had so far in my life. The best I had was in the northeastern Thailand. There are some Thai food I hate, i.e., Jungle curry, but every Thai food I hate are so delicious when I have it here. You will regret if you miss this.
I caught up with some friends North-side for dinner. Having heard that Thip’s Thai in Belconnen was authentic, I was keen to try out it out. The restaurant is difficult to find if you don’t know where it is as there is no signage out on the street. It’s actually located upstairs in the Churches Centre building so follow the staircase up. The restaurant is set out as your typical cheapie Asian eatery – bright neon sign outside, tiled floors, plastic tables and chairs, etc. The restaurant is very small with only a few tables. I was surprised to see so many people there on a Wednesday night – mostly Asians dining in with a few locals grabbing takeaway. Good sign!
Simple Thai restaurant, however, great service and nice Thai food. It is worth to go to, although the location may hard to find, highly recommended.
Best Thai in Canberra. This place is our favourite go-to take away place. So fragrant and spicy, I can't get enough of the laab. Make sure you bring cash as they have no eftpos facilities
