My wife and I came here for lunch on a Sunday in late February. My wife ordered lasagne and i ordered the liver and onions. The lasagne was good but it came with garlic bread that tasted like it had been treated with a rancid spread. We told our server about this at the end or our meal. She tasted the garlic bread and later informed us that the kitchen staff had discarded the container. We received no compensation for this. My liver was cooked properly. However, the accompanying red onions had only received a light sautee. They were not carmelized as I think they should have been. I did not mention this to the server because it may have simply have been the cook's preference. We ordered beer with our lunches and noticed that the liquid was beading on the inside of the glasses, indicative of the glasses not being properly cleaned. I am not interested in visiting this restaurant again.
The food was mediocre and our soda was flat. I also found it to be a bit expensive and the service was not very prompt.
The Lazy Loon is a restaurant that my mother loves, so we decided to throw a surprise party for her birthday there this year.
We have visited Lazy Loon a few times while in town. The food is simple, but delicious, with a taste of homemade family cooking.
