I enjoyed a soy latte as well as a slice of vegan banana bread on my way to work this morning. Both were great! The staff were lovely and happy to help with any questions about what's vegan. There were a few stools at little tables outside, but it was mostly takeaway. They were happy to let me get my coffee in a keep cup to avoid waste.
This place has vegan banana bread and, when I visited, some muffins. Muffins were about 4.50, which I thought was an exception in foot-cray too much. Banana bread was an approx. 3 mice I think it was moist and tasty and not too sweet! Too bad coffee was kind of bad. It is worth stopping if you are hungry for something sweet near the train station
If I'm short on time for breakfast, this place is perfect for grabbing a banana bread or a fruit muffin on my way to work. The prices are excellent: just $3 for banana bread and $3.50 for a muffin. Occasionally, the banana bread can have a strange texture, but the fruit muffins are consistently moist and delicious. I'm thrilled to have found vegan muffins filled with fresh raspberries and blueberries! Just a heads-up, the chai is not vegan—I'd love to see a vegan option for that.
The coffee is good, and the location is excellent—perfect for grabbing a cup before boarding or while waiting for your train. The staff is just as friendly as at Dad and Dave's, and they offer a nice selection of vegan sweets. However, when we visited recently, it was a bit chilly outside, so we decided to take our coffees to the station. It’s definitely more enjoyable in the summer!
