I worked at the Wychwood Open Door drop-in center next door, so as partners with The Stop, I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant.
Being a supporter of The Stop, I am well-acquainted with the organization and it comes as no surprise that this restaurant is reminiscent of a market utopia.
Just had a spectacular dinner at the Flying Squirrel and was delighted to hear they are not "closing" but rather moving from Ridgeway to Port Colborne. Our party of five each chose the bistro option: appetizer, salad or soup, entree and dessert for $35. We were all really pleased with the many appealing options on offer and with the choices we made. The sirracha cauliflower with peanut sauce was spectacular, the coconut cauliflower soup exquisite, the haddock beautifully cooked and the gluten-free chocolate cake/brownie one of the best I've ever had - and I've had a few!
We stopped at this great cafe while on a cycling excursion and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back again. This is a small but quaint place with a nice indoor and outdoor eating area. Service was good, prices a definitely fair, and the food was scrumptuous. Definitely recommend this place
