It wasn't worth the $10 per piece price but I had to try it once. Service was outstanding. FYI for those who would like an alcoholic beverage with their meal. This place is BYOB.
Can't believe we found this authentic real Japanese restaurant on the way out of NY. It's amazing! They serve traditional Japanese food. It's like being in Japan. We tried the lunch boxes. I had mackerel and Hubby had salmon. Very fresh and delicious and prepared the way the Iron Chef would make for us. We also tried the sushi deluxe. Excellent! Worth a visit even though finding a parking space was very challenging. Definitely would go back.
Hiura has been around for a long time and the experience comes with a price. The food is clean classy but for heavy eaters, the portion could be a little small. If you want to enjoy and authentic Japanese dining, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Fort Lee
Went here with some friends for dinner. Parking is a bit of a pain because there is only a small lot in the back and practically no street parking. The place does not have many tables so you may want to get a reservation. Service was good. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. They had a wide variety of fish and they do offer omakase which is great. They also have some kitchen dishes like agedashi tofu. My only issue was the portions of fish which seemed a bit small for the price.
Sushi is fresh and very well prepared. Staff is friendly, location is cramped and seating is limited so plan to come early. Parking is around the corner out back. The food is pretty close to authentic as you can get in the United States, with some changes to ingredients as necessary.
