Rae's Real Italian - Fort Myers Beach

Our waiter seemed distracted and uninterested. We got bread with olive oil. The table next to us was offered oregano and parmigiana with their oil oil. Before we went I read the menu online. One appetizer was Rae’s Meatballs for $12. You could get a side of pasta for $6. When I ordered it the waiter said I can get you spaghetti and meatballs, it’s just not on the menu. We went back and forth finally I gave in and said give me the spaghetti and meatballs. Well no wonder the waiter was so pushy about it. The bill came and my spaghetti and meatballs were $25!!!! The spaghetti portion was the size of a side order. Talk about unethical. The only desserts were shooter desserts. Two spoonfuls of dessert in a plastic cup for a hefty price. Mine was awful. Needless to say we were disappointed.

Excellent service. Excellent salad. Chef special was good. Salmon entrée also good. Sides available for a price. Dinner was pricey for informal dining. Definitely family restaurant with nice view of pool and beach. Nothing special as far as atmosphere goes. You’re paying for a/c with beach view.

Elizabeth Z was a fantastic introduction to Rae’s. Our first visit but not our last!

Pesto was terrible. Husband had fettuccine Alfredo. Portion very small. Was not impressed.

We ate there to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday!! Food was amazing and the view was perfect. Everyone was very nice. Service was 5 stars!!
