Tacos Tequila Cantina - Fort Myers

I like the ambiance of this restaurant. The decoration, it’s nice. Food wise not that much. We had the steak fajitas. Steak needed seasoning, the server never came back to ask if we needed something else. She was new so I wouldn’t hold that against her. I liked the black beans but that’s about it. I wouldn’t come back.Food: 3/5

My wife and I stopped here 8/24/23 for dinner. It was dinner-time and they were busy but we were seated outside immediately. The atmosphere was energetic and busy as this facility is right next to Florida Gulf Coast University. Definitely a college-age crowd. The service was fine, the chips and salsa very good, (chips are thick and salty and salsa has great flavor with the right kick) and Greg, our waiter, very helpful. We ordered 4 different tacos to do a sampling and all were delicious. Their selection is expansive, the ingredients fresh and the food was very flavorful overall. My only reservation, and the reason for 4 vs 5 stars, is that I like hard tacos and the shells are very similar to a boxed shell I would find at the store and they were small. But everything else was top-notch so I can overlook that. Overall, dinner was good, service was good, price was good and we left satisfied and knowing we would return to try more of their offerings.

I’ve been to tacos and tequila twice now and both times the Baja taco fried was my favorite out of everything I’ve tried. The queso is chef’s kiss. It’s an absolute must! They’re hit or miss on how busy they are. On a Tuesday I’ve had to wait 30 minutes and on a Sunday I’m usually seated right away. Each taco is around $4-6 and they run specials periodically! It’s always 2 for 1 house margs on Tuesday and Sunday. They have so many different types of tacos to choose from, you’ll never run out of options!

Talon and Sydney are fantastic servers! The service here is always amazing and the drinks are so yummy! My friends and I have been coming here for taco Tuesday for years now and we will never get tired of it. The 2 for 1 margs are wonderful but we also love the frozen drinks!! Cannot give enough compliments to the staff and for the food here.

The best thing about this restaurant was our server, Talon. Polite, attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu. Which brings us to the food. Average, at best. Chatted with the diners at the next table, and their rating was the same. My friend had Nachos which she said were ok . I had taquitos...once was enough. Chicken was dried out, sour cream, guacamole and lettuce was a gloppy mess. Too many Mexican restaurants in the area to try this one again.
