Of all the nice restaurants I reviewed, DK had a large selection of different types of food, great ambiance ocean view, at very reasonable prices. For the same money, we could order appetizers, salads, sides, dinner, and desserts. We ended up ordering their sushi roll, fried calamari, specialty 22 oz dry aged bone-in ribeye complete meal, fresh catch, large garlic mash; my son had the california roll children's chicken strips (the portion was large), and a carafe of sake. We were maximally contented. Service was great, staff was very helpful and attentive. DK is a locally owned and has been around for a long time. Hope we all continue to support this great local restaurant!
For an upscale steak house this place was okay. Waitress was very nice but didn't seem to have the knowledge to work in an upscale steak house environment. Food was average but was not worth the prices.
I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday. I've always loved Sansei, even back in the Restaurant Row days, so I've been wanting to try DK Steak House for a while! Our server, Lorenzo was amazing! His timing on everything from spacing out the appetizers, to getting wine on the table when the steaks arrived, was spot on! We started with the panko crusted ahi sashimi (YUM!! and got the shrimp dynamite to have with our steaks. My boyfriend got the 30 day aged ribeye and I got the classic aged ribeye. We both absolutely loved our choices! Cocktails and wine were delicious, and paired great with our dishes. Will definitely be back soon!
A little expensive restaurant in HawaiiIf you want to order something, the staff will come right away.Probably a person in charge of each seat serves the food. When I went there, there was no Japanese support. If there are no Japanese staff, it would be better if they can speak English to some extent. It's a little away from Waikiki Beach, so it's a hidden gem. The food was also quite delicious. Only 3 stars because there is no Japanese support. If you don't understand English at all, you shouldn't go. It may be possible to do so now, but I'm not sure, so I recommend contacting us by phone.
I had high expectations, but the seats at the booth were made of hard wood (you can get a cushion if you ask for one), the meat was overcooked, the food was not cut, there was no confirmation of the doneness of the meat, and the taste of the side dishes was... It's blurry. I ordered the recommended dry-aged ribeye here, but it seemed quite different from when I saw it on TV. The only good things about it were the lobster and the spacious seating area. After I finished eating, I refreshed my palate at the bar of another steakhouse. There's no next time.
