I asked her about the drafts and she said what she had. I said how about bottle. She said we have it all. I go ok I will have a corona or LandShark. She said we got them. I decided to go inside and see what they have. I didn't want her to have to write all down. Saving her time. I ended going with Stella. No big deal The food came out and my wife and 3 kids got there food. I was waiting for mine and a refill on water. Then 15 minutes go by and they bring the check out. I'm like umm I need water, my daughter requested no mayonnaise because she's vegan, and I said most importantly where is my fish sandwich? Her response I'm sorry let me get on this. This isn't even our waitress. Our waitress disappeared. Then this woman came out and said yeah we gave it to the wrong table. That was a lie because the check didn't have it on the order. I waited and they gave me my food. Our original waitress came out and said you need anything. I said yes some water and guess what she never came back. Then the other waitress came back and said do you need some water. I said yes. The food was great but the service was terrible. I will not return this trip or any other trips to come. Be ware of the service.
Busy little shop a half block or so from the Friday Harbor ferry docks, in theory an ideal place for a quick bite after you park your car in line and look for someplace to kill time while waiting for your ferry. While the Hungry Clam offers breakfasts, burgers, chowder, chicken strips, shrimp, and other items, we nearly always opt for the fish chips. Our experiences with their food have been generally positive, though I don 't know of anyone who would agree with the Hungry Clam 's sign that boasts that they serve world famous fish chips. These are fairly typical diner style fish chips. Decent enough when they 're not too greasy. The restaurant 's interior can be messy, service can be spotty, and the wait for food can be long not the best situation if you notice your ferry coming into sight so don 't come here if you 're in a rush. But if you have time I recommend sitting outside on the patio in the breeze. Be patient, and bring along some handi wipes to clean the table.
We are in a family vacation and some one recommended this place big mistake The worse service ever The employees super rude and kicked us out ... few racist comment) I ignored everything... when my husband got there he opened the umbrella and the waitress said close it now ... no please or any other way no manners and I tipped her 30% if I knew how rude and racist they are will never put my 2 little girls to experience something like this. The fish was ok no the beast fish and chips-like they said The owner worse no manners and racist , no service scary rude and the kitchen dirty. My total bill $89 no that cheap and greasy. DO NOT GO THERE IS NOT WORTH IT.
Cute little place close to the ferry dock. They were busy however we didn't have a long wait. Our drink orders were taken right away by a very lovely young lady. As soon as we were ready our orders were taken. It didn't take long for our food to come. Everything was made correctly. I got the 2 egg breakfast with bacon wveeything was wonderful. We also had an omlette, biscuits and gravy and cheesy bacon hashbrowns. Everything was wonderful. Caught a glimpse of the cook and he was clean smiling and moving fast.
Old-fashioned diner, with the standard old tables and chairs, on top of a hillock just above the ferry dock. Still serves breakfast at 11.30 AM, but I had lunch in the form of a fried seafood combo. The fried clams were perfect, crispily fried and juicy inside, and even the scraps were tasty. Scallops: coating light and tasty, the scallops themselves a bit rubbery. Cod: hearty fillets, but the beer-batter coating was thick and not to my taste. If I'm back, I'll get just the clams.
