I sung with my husband and two other couples here yesterday, and we're all very happy. In addition to the red wine (house we did not like, really, quite expensive at around 16 € per litre, (and we Italians are probably too fussy about wine... Well, everything else was really delicious, very beautiful presented, and overall good value for money. Large portions of cold cuts and cheese, all regionally produced noodles, Wiener Schnitzel and mixed roast meat really made us happy. Beautiful furnishings and traditionally dressed waiters (friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to everyone. (Maybe eat outside when it is warm and you will find tirolean decor a bit for Christmas.
High-quality Austrian dishes. As an Austrian I can say that this is NOT you usual inn that is better and better on the market. The menu is small, but all typical Austrian dishes were offered. Beautiful wine map also available. Service excellent! I have to book!
We spend a very nice evening in the restaurant. the interior is beautiful and lets you feel comfortable. the food is good and with large portions.
We visited this restaurant as trip advisor reviews said it was great Austrian food. So we were excited to visit a lovely wee rustic looking guesthouse for the food. It was pretty outside and central location was good. But when we arrived it was as if we were a total inconvenience to them, as it seemed we were late at 8pm for dinner. They rushed around trying to sort a table out for us. The what seemed to be the owners children were working very hard to clear up after hotel guests had eaten. The platter was very nice, but the mains were either too rich (with lovely beef though) or too oily and dry, i was overall disappointing. The balsamic vinegar was mouthwatering. The beers were eidleweiss on tap at a reasonable price, lovely and cold. The buffet had been removed so they served us extra salad but i had to ask for this, it wasnt a problem, but it did take a while. After our meal we sat for ages and ages with our dirty plates and no drinks to the point that, i got up, put my jacket on, and just as i was leaving, the young teenager girl, came for the bill. Everyone seemed inconvenienced and we did not feel welcome. It really spoiled our evening. I felt sorry for the young staff who seemed to maybe be the owner's children, that were waiting on the tables. We were not asked if we wanted dessert. I was just really disappointed.
Small place in the basement of a house, charmant decoration. Only one menu crate on each table, some daily offer put in a glass, with hand writing hardly readable. Average Austrian kitchen (soup with noodles, bread-crumbed chicken and Wiener schnitzel) with some creativity, like crab salad. The offer is small, dominated by ready to serve dishes. Nevertheless, food is tasty and serving is decorative. Staff concentrating on logistic, no smile and care. Dessert is mainly limited to variation of ice creams. Some local and organic ingredients.
