Jasmin Tea House - Funchal

Não posso recomendar este local o suficiente. Gostei muito, voltarei no futuro com certeza.

We were walking the Levada Dos Tornos our guide book recommended the Jasmin Tea House for refreshments. As it was near the end of the walk the weather was very warm we decided to stop for drinks. My husband had a small beer I had some orange juice. The juice came in a jug there was enough for 2 glasses. I also had an Eton Mess ice cream, which was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came to less than 7 euros very reasonable for what we had particularly so in such an out of the way spot. An added bonus was the fantastic views. It is possible to get here by bus if walking isn 't your thing. However, the Levada Dos Tornos is a very easy levada walk (or at least the section we did is) there are buses at both ends so it is easy to reach from Funchal you only have to walk one way.

What a lovely place to stop for lunch after a steep walk up the mountain. The cheese and meat platters were great and the scones were fantastic. The hosts are very friendly. I would highly recommend.
