Unbelievable food! Had the warm goat cheese salad with chicken and the seafood chowder. Both were great! They also have a huge selection of whiskeys and have multiple tastings.
The Corner Brasserie in Galway offers a delightful dining experience with a touch of elegance. The charming ambiance and attentive service create an inviting atmosphere for guests to indulge in a culinary journey. One standout dish that deserves high praise is their seafood stew. Bursting with flavors of the ocean, it features a delectable medley of fresh fish, succulent shrimp, and tender mussels bathed in a rich and aromatic broth. Every spoonful is a taste of seaside bliss, leaving a lasting impression. However, amidst the culinary triumphs, there is a stumble in the form of their steak. Unfortunately, the steak falls short of expectations. Whether it's an issue of preparation or quality, it lacks the tenderness and flavor that one would hope for in a prime cut. It's a regrettable misstep in an otherwise impressive menu. Despite the disappointment of the steak, The Corner Brasserie remains a worthwhile dining destination in Galway, particularly for seafood enthusiasts. Their captivating seafood stew showcases the kitchen's prowess and makes for a memorable dining experience that will leave you longing for more.
Had a great time there. We tried two different flights of Irish Whiskey that were incredible. The food and service .
This was one of those magical experiences where we didn't have a reservation, didn't know what we were looking for, and just happened to stumble upon Brasserie on the Corner. We entered through Blake's Bar and had a bit of a Harry Potter moment when we walked up a few steps to find that the space keeps going opening up into a warm, rich interior with welcoming, friendly people and food that was just delicious. Definitely order the Galway Goat Cheese Croquettes. I had the Ribeye (locally sourced) and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Wild Atlantic Baked Tiger Prawns and loved them. We rounded out the meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Every bite was elevated and elegant. We ate pretty early so it was quiet and mellow. The wait staff was fun, attentive and friendly. This place is a must try!
