This hotspot is located in a quaint hispter part of Gary called Miller Beach. Exterior is a colorful old home that invites you inside. The interior is warm and full of character. There are variety of items for sale such as handmade fresh ingredients soaps, loose teas that you can buy in bulk, handmade African jewelries, meditation, and much more. There is a bar area where you sit to drink juice or smoothie and including yummy food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food are delicious, healthy and nourishing. There are tons of vegan and vegetarian options in addition to healthier meats. There are specials for each day that are mouth drooling worthy to savor. They offer an extensive juice and smoothie menu with good variety of ingredients fruits and vegetables including alternative dairy. For the appetizer, we ate the Wednesday special Sticky Thai Cauliflower. This is a must to eat! Crunchy on the outside with burst of Asian flavors. They offer two other flavors to choose. We also ordered avocado fries with creamy dip. These are are small as some people might think. They are crunchy with a soft middle. The dip is delicious and perfect with the avocado fries. For the entree, we loved the Vegan Crab Cake made out of blossom banana and other veggies. This includes an aioli, lemon and some greens. My friend got the salad with chickpeas (they should add more though), sweet potato, plantains in baby spinach with maple tahini sauce. There are plenty more options that we plan to come back again.
This place is a gem. It's a black-owned spot with a lot of interesting things going on. I came for a smoothie and also grabbed some vegan friendly sweets. The juices/smoothies are customizable with lots of ingredient choices, but they also have a solid menu of drinks and breakfast dishes. My smoothies was super smooth, not overly sweet, and well-balanced. They weren't shy about the ginger, which I loved. I browsed through their collection of rare herbs, teas, health products, jewelry/handmade things, etc., as they prepared it. This place is such a vibe. Definitely show Vibrations some love if you're in the area.
First time visiting this morning. I ordered the vegan crab cakes and matcha latte. Both were sooo good. I cannot wait to try the other things they offer. Very nice people, too!
Visited yesterday for the first time and will definitely be back. The ambience cool and refreshing. The owner hospitable and gracious. Loved the diversity and overall friendliness of everyone. Last but not least kudos to Chef Kyle who created a chicken pita sandwich that still has my mouth watering; the pineapple chai smoothie topped everything off! Can't wait to return. If you want a calm cool experience you must go to this hidden gem!
