Viceroy - Gateshead

I went to try the set menu in the evening (on Thursday) expecting a budget option, but I was pleasantly surprised. The selection was beautiful with good portion sizes, and the presentation of the dishes was stunning. The quality was a step above the average Indian restaurant. The service was very good, even though it was not busy. Based on my experience tonight, I would highly recommend it.

Now have 2 outliers from viceroy and they were both absolutely amazing, so much better than other local outliers. the lamb dishes are incredibly tender, it melts in mouth, and my man loved the venison court he tried. large delivery service also, timely and professional. would definitely recommend and we will not order from anywhere else.

Had my first visit to the Viceroy in whickham last night with my wife. the restaurant was very well decorated well illuminated. eating was fantastic, possibly the best Indian meal we had in years. well recommended.

We had a fantastic meal during our first visit to this restaurant. The service was top-notch and the food was incredibly tasty. The lamb passanda was particularly tender and all the dishes were made with fresh ingredients, including locally sourced fish from Fish Quay in North Shields. Ali, the owner, made sure we were well taken care of. We have definitely found our new favorite curry house and will be returning regularly.

First class food polite and very helpful staff will be going again, nothing is a trouble to the whole staff Thanks
