Sure they'll sell you whatever you want. But if they realize you aren't a member and it's just a nice night out, they will open your wine and not check on you again. We sat for 30 minutes before someone brought us our check to pay. Idk. I just feel like they just want to cater to certain people.
Who doesn’t love an opportunity to have a wine tasting on a Saturday afternoon! While visiting Georgetown, we popped into this cute and quaint tasting room!! It was a great escape from the Texas heat. My husband had a glass of Tempranillo and he is not a wine drinker! But loved the refreshing and subtle notes I usually find when drinking red wine. I opted for Rosé and it a great pairing for the summer heat. Light and subtle taste but perfect to pair with fish or a backyard barbecue. They also offer wine clubs and memberships and will ship to you. If wine is your thing and even if it’s not- make this a place on your list to try!
The entire facility was just awesome! Products was amazing! Now! Let’s talk about Jennie ! She’s just awesome and so informative! Made the visit and drive in well worth it
Have done wine tastings all over the world and working on becoming a sommelier. My husband and I have been to Barons Creek tasting room twice. The first time we did not have a reservation but it was not that busy. They had 3 people working but no one acknowledged us until after we 'd been standing there for a few minutes. When the man finally did come over, he seated us and handed us menus but when I started to ask questions he dismissed me and said someone else would be over. The service was fine after that but we considered not staying or coming back. On our second visit, we had a reservation. The service was mediocre in comparison to the members and when we asked for water we were given sparkling which is a no-no. I understand that they cater to their members but if you want people to join you should still treat all customers with the same cordiality.
Okay, so we sort of just stumbled into this place while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant...and it was the best decision we've made in a while. The wines here are amazing. And I'm not just saying that. I'm a Napa Sonoma veteran, and I lived in Washington for many years, where we had some really great wines. I would choose Barons Creek Vineyards over most of the wineries I've ever been to. Everything we tried (and we tried a lot of wines was excellent — the Sauvignon Blanc, the Chardonnay, the Rosé (keep in mind, we're red wine drinkers ... the Zinfandel, the red blends — we would come back for any of them. And the service was impeccable, too. David, Trisha, and Hanne were all amazing. I even got to sit in Dennis' chair! (That's right. Oh, and the live music was ON effing POINT. We will definitely be back, possibly even next weekend. Thank you, Barons Creek. #baronscreekwineroom
