I love quiche Lorraine but don't get it much because of my gluten allergy. I ordered the frittata Lorraine with strawberry salad and GF toast. My vegan date ordered creamy avocado toast piled high with pepitas and lime tomatoes. Delightful!
I found Sweet Lemon Kitchen one morning while in the area. It's tucked away in the downtown area in an actual older style home. The atmosphere and service match the food perfectly. I ordered the egg croissant, a cinnamon roll, and the lavender lemonade. That lemonade is so good it should be sold by the gallon. It would've definitely been served at the last supper! My croissant sandwich was really good. Everything tasted fresh, and being that they use local products, it made me feel better knowing I was supporting a local business that uses local business for ingredients. My cinnamon roll was top tier. I haven't had many that match this recipe. I'd definitely return and highly recommend this spot for a good breakfast.
Superb gluten-free Frittata clean, fresh salad w/a light, lemony, delightful dressing. Sumatra coffee is a good complement to a great breakfast!Vegetarian options: Salad, eggs, bakeryParking: Count on the 'ebb flow ' of a busy café serving good food.Kid-friendliness: SLK is a house turned into a restaurant, so it can present a bit of a challenge to accommodate children inside, but SLK does have tables outside for kids to enjoy more freedom to roam, be themselves.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp on the N side of the café.
Happened upon Sweet Lemon while traveling. The decor is very warm and welcoming making for a great atmosphere. We had the turkey and Brie Sammy and the mixed berry French toast. Both were excellent. A must stop if in the Georgetown area.
