Frozenspoon - Germantown Hills

I made a quick stop at the ice cream parlor inside Michael's, and I was pleasantly surprised. The ice cream was quite nice, and the prices were reasonable. If I remember correctly, they have 16 different flavors available. I particularly enjoyed the Oreo ice cream. Next time, I want to try one of the adult flavors (something like Parents' ...... I don't want to mess up the name). It includes espresso and bourbon flavors, which sound intriguing. The Kitty Kitty Bang Bang also caught my eye with its cherries.

Went inside around 1pm, sign said they were open. The dining room was empty, rang the bell 3 times but no employees came out of the kitchen. I didn't get any ice-cream and I don't think I will be back. Honestly, this is the kind of service I have come to expect from any Michael's location in the area.

Review Date: September 17th, 2014 FrozenSpoon leads to a FrozenMouth which leads to BrainFreeze. After feasting at Michael’s Italian Feast, we popped over to the FrozenSpoon to see what it was all about. Much to our surprise, it was an ice cream shack. Well, not in a shack, per se, but you get the idea. From what I remember, I got this bright blue ice cream. The name of the flavor escapes me and the lack of an online presence means I won’t find out until I go back. The ice cream did hit the spot after a fulfilling meal at Michael’s. Unfortunately, this is a short review for a short visit. FrozenSpoon was a bit more expensive than I expected for an ice cream place but it was once in a blue moon visit, so I don’t mind. But, if you are a local, you might find it to be too pricey to visit often. I would like to go back some day. If or when I do, I will update this blog with more photos and information. I drove all the way from East Peoria to get a milkshake because the website said it was open from 12 to 10, but when I arrived, it was closed and no one was there.

This is a part of Michael's restaurant. It has a lovely ambiance, fast service, and outstanding ice cream.
