The ambiance: Greenhouse is nice in a corporate investor way. The service was fine. Our server did all the right things. But: The food ranged from unremarkable to remarkably bad. We started off with the Tuna Stack a stack of raw tuna and avocado on very nice, crunchy tortilla ish things. Fine but nothing interesting or remarkable. And then the main courses went downhill. My wife ordered a dish of salmon with asparagus and polenta. The salmon was overcooked and fishy tasting (in the Pacific Northwest?? . I ordered the cioppino. But instead of cioppino, I got overcooked seafood covered in a red spaghetti sauce. I regret not taking a picture of it what I got looked nothing like the pictures that others have posted on Yelp. They have a nice wine list, but the red list is almost entirely domestic wines from California, Oregon, and Washington. One French red. No Italian wine to go with the so called cioppino (of course, it wasn 't really cioppino . The wines are reasonably priced. (The white list is a little less west coast than the red wine list. The good news: We got an Oregon Pinot that was actually quite nice. We came on a Wednesday night, off season, in November. Maybe it was a particularly off night.
The food is actually great with great service to boot. The price of the food is very reasonably priced, especially given the taste and quality of the meal. I hope you enjoy the food, service and selection as much as I had.
Everyone we have ever brought here loves it. We're local so we've been here a lot and have never had a meal less than great. I told my sister about it and she's there so often that she knows half the staff. Can't say enough good things. The seafood pasta is my favorite for dinner and that reuben is the best one I've ever had. My wife loves the fish dishes. All good stuff.
Oh my! So very good. It opened at 11:30 and we were there a few minutes later. By noon it was full. The crab cakes were awesome! If in the area I would definitely go back!
