O'malley's On The Green - GIRDWOOD

I believe they are understaffed, like many establishments these days, which caused a notable delay in our drink and food orders. However, the servers were fantastic.

Valentine's Special: It was easy to get a table if you didn't make a reservation. The live music created a relaxing atmosphere. However, the service was very slow as the restaurant was significantly understaffed. The menu was quite limited. While there were beautiful flowers on the table, it was clear that the tablecloth was just thrown over a cheap plastic foldout card table. On a positive note, the view from the hill overlooking the city lights was lovely.

I had attended events at this restaurant before, but I had never dined there. My husband and I decided to go for a date on Valentine’s Day. They offered a special menu, featuring two or three options for each course. Everything seemed promising at first, but we were disappointed when the food turned out to be just mediocre. I wouldn't classify this restaurant as fine dining. My husband was so let down that we ended up having to plan a do-over date.

O’Malley’s is finally getting the menu and food quality to match the beauty of the view. Chef Elizabeth is doing a great job of leveraging the small kitchen in this golf course restaurant/bar to be able to keep it open and active through our cold winters. I’ve had the Migas Bowl (rice, black beans and chorizo on a bed of tortilla chips, with two eggs on top) on one trip; Hash Eggs on the second, where the hash is house made corned beef very good. Great place for Sunday brunch.

Went on a Friday for dinner with a friend. The live music was extremely loud and it was very difficult to hear conversation across our small table. The drinks were good. The shrimp salad was ok except the shrimp were raw and had a bad taste to them. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but would order something different, and not go on a live music night unless I was there specifically for the music. Seafood chowder was the best I've had in town!
