Swadesh Indian Restaurant - Glen Eira

I ordered the Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice and Schezwan Chicken Noodles. With the first bite, it instantly transported me to the streets of India with its authentic flavors. The spice level was just right, leaving a pleasant kick in my tummy. I highly recommend these dishes if you enjoy a bit of spice.

I would give the biryani 5 stars. However, aside from that, the rest of the food is just okay. It lacks authenticity but has a good Western twist.

Chicken biriyani is probably the best I’ve had in Melbourne. Presentation and the atmosphere is messy but the food is good. Waiting time could be reduced

I have visited this restaurant several times for their delicious Biryani. I absolutely love the taste of their Biryani, which I would rate 9 out of 10 times. However, the ambiance is lacking and could use some improvement. During my most recent visit, I noticed that the price of one item on the menu was lower than what we were charged (the original price). When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they simply said it was a printing error.

Visit this place to taste authentic Indian food. Simple and non pretentious joint. Although I keep going back for their Biryani...more so for their Hyderabadi style. Be happy to settle for a take away if all the tables are occupied.
