Mimi's Cafe - Glendale

Eating was very good. If it had a weakening, it would be that the main courts had a bit too much. the guacamole was fresh. the chips and salza were good. also several good Mexican beer on hahn.

We go to the Mexican restaurant. large portions and great dishes.

Asked for nachos without jalapenos. They were all over the nachos. :

This place has potential to be really good. The reservation process was not a true reservation, but a “name on the list” version. We weren’t expecting this so this was irritating. We waited a good amount of time as it was a weekend evening. The booth we were seated at was not well cleaned-there was food all over the floor. The server was attentive but not very friendly. I was impressed with the menu, but the food that came out seemed lazily done/lackadaisical- garnishing sauces were very light, lacking flavor. For example, I got one of the street taco dishes. There was a lot of meat, but very little slaw and accompanying sauce. I would give them another chance only because their menu was unique and it was a busy night when we went...perhaps they would better represent themselves on a weeknight or at lunch time.
