Centered in tbe building complex and open to the public this restaurant offeres pay by weight cold and hot items plus an all la carte menu as well the food varies during the week and is always fresh.
During my recent visit to the cafeteria last weekend, I was shocked and extremely frustrated to see Styrofoam containers being used in a federal establishment. There is absolutely no excuse for this. I urge you to address this issue immediately by replacing these containers with compostable cardboard ones and switching out plastic utensils for compostable ones. It is 2020 and we are all aware of the climate crisis and the pollution caused by plastic. Just imagine the amount of waste created by the people in the building every day if they are using Styrofoam containers. Everyone needs to do their part, especially the food industry. This situation will be monitored closely.
I ordered a chicken cordon bleu without realizing it had ham in the middle. I returned to the counter and the woman who served me graciously replaced it without any problem. The customer service was excellent. The replacement meal was delicious.
I want to start by saying that the staff at this restaurant are extremely nice and friendly. I do wish they had a suggestion box instead of relying on Google reviews. The coffee always tastes slightly burnt to me. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options in the area, so nearby workers will likely continue to go there for their coffee fix. It would be great if they offered almond milk and more healthy options. The buffet prices are on the expensive side compared to downtown. Prices also seem to be higher on holidays. However, I must mention that many people love their ice chiller drinks and squares.
