After patiently waiting in line for our turn, the hostess proceeded to seat guests who arrived after us. At that moment, we were informed that the restaurant was no longer accepting any additional customers. This was followed by an unwarranted lecture about not being informed earlier that no more seats would be available. Poor management is one thing, but this was just ridiculous.
This restaurant requires reservations and it is definitely worth visiting. From each table you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed a hearty bowl of gluten-free corn cuisine, a flourless (GF) chocolate cake and a variety of teas. There are also salads, sandwiches and entrees. Our server Joyce was very helpful and patient answered our questions and offers menu suggestions.
At the end of March we celebrated my daughters wedding in this restaurant. The wedding ceremony took place outside with spectacular views in the background. The reception was held in the main restaurant and was slightly large enough to welcome the wedding party and guests. The food was wonderful and the staff was magnificent. The only way to or from the restaurant (without ski departure) is the gondola, which is about 15 minutes from the base. Definitely worth considering if you want a large private location for a wedding.
The view while having lunch here was spectacular. You take a gondola ride to the top and it was amazing. The food and staff are excellent too. It’s a must go to!
