Contribuisci feedbackI wanted a cosy restaurant with good fish dishes, found this one on Tripadvisor so wanted to try it. I am so glad I did, a lovely cosy restaurant, staff were so friendly and accommodating. The fish soup was amazing followed by their signature dish of cod with mashed potatoes.A lovely experience. The Haga is a lovely part of town
The restaurant has a super friendly and knowledgeable staff who provide excellent recommendations. You must try the seafood soup as a starter, followed by the perfectly grilled tuna for a high-class finish.
My group very much wanted to try out this restaurant. With my “finned fish” allergy I was a little worried about eating at top rated fish restaurant, but they went above and beyond to make an amazing meal. Had the sea food three course dinner and my colleagues had the cod. Truly wonderful service and exceptional dinner. This was by far the best dinner we had all week in Gothenburg. The langoustines au gratin were super. The soup was the best I’ve ever had, which they made special without the fish for me. I had to get help eating the large amount of shrimp that came with the steamed mussels, langoustines and oyster. The mussels with white sauce were also really great. Everything was super.
We had been looking forward to go to this restaurant for experiencing great fish and seafood as it should be when in Göteborg, and we really were not disappointed. We book quite in advance and we did right. The place was buzzing when we arrived and it was quite a late sitting. The menu was focusing on fish. The dishes available for the kids were definitely ok and in the price range one wants to have for these occasions. Both kids took a variant of fish and chips and, at least my daughter, enjoyed it which is a bit out of the ordinary as both kids are not crazy about fish. We dove into a big seafood place, which price was I believe very ok considering the food. A bunch of shrimps, some mussles, a couple of oysters, a cheese pie, some sauces and langoustines. Everything was very ok, maybe the mussles a thud overboiled and the shrimps not as tasty as I would have been expecting them. But the langoustines. I have never had them so tasty, fresh, salty just to the right point. There were delicious. Sadly, our kids were hyper tired and we didn't have time to enjoy a dessert, but I count on try that the next time. The staff? Professional and as fast as they could be during a busy evening.
Have been to both Sjöbaren Lorensberg and Haga multiple times, and it is a good option if you are looking for good seafood. The seafood and fish was cooked really well and tasted great. However, it is a bit pricey. The service is just so bad. The staff were really stressed and confused. Took very long time to get to order food and dessert. After finishing, we were just left there sitting with our finished dishes. To be able to pay, I had to go and find a staff member. The staff had no sense of service and friendliness. Almost as if they don't care anymore.
