This Taverna in a village in the mountains is popular with the locals. We came upon it by chance years ago when we were desperately searching for a rest stop up in the mountains. We have been back several times since for lunch. It has always proved itself to be reliably open. This was the first time we'd stopped for a traditional Sunday Lunch. We weren't disappointed with the quantity and quality of food offered. It is well worth seeking out if you should find yourself in the area (or plan a trip around your visit, as we do) so as to enjoy a taste of traditional Cypriot village life.
Souvlaki was amazing as were the potatoes (makes a change from chips). Great service and a great place to eat Parking: Free public parking space directly behind the restaurant. This is a wonderful establishment. It's very cozy here. You will be greeted by very nice and kind owners a married couple. Here you can always eat what you have prepared right now. All products are fresh and tasty. In general, it is worth staying in this village for at least 1 night, enjoying the silence, mountains, wonderful food and wonderful people. I sincerely recommend visiting this home restaurant and wish the owners long life, prosperity and prosperity.
Had a lovely meal at this taverna in the pretty village of Gourri. A tiny place with only locals present, we had starter of halloumi, then their local dish of pulses and onion, along with a beautiful mixed salad. Very nice, great value for money and traditional, which is what we were looking for Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
