What's amazing about it are some of the things that are a bit of a hindrance... it hasn't changed in decades: only two bathrooms (then mens has 3 toilets and 2 urinals, which means the womens bathroom should logically have at least 5 stalls). The aesthetic has a very underground punk rock feel with stickers all over the walls and a slightly grunge look. They have great performances, although they don't do bag checks so I saw several people smoking weed inside and security didn't seem to care. Also get food and drinks before going in because a Diet Coke costs $4!! Even gas stations don't charge that much... so I bet alcohol is WAY overpriced.
This is pur go-to spot for music! Sarah and Ben are always friendly and quick when serving drinks from the bar! Rick does a great job of booking awesome musicians. 10/10 recommend
The Waiting.....???TP?breakerstribute band did them right. Excellent show . Please come back?
First visit to the Mesa. Doors were supposed to open at 7 and didn’t open until about 7:45- not awful except it was over 100 degrees out- not sure if that’s typical- but why put a time that the doors open if you aren’t going to open? We got in, got our drinks and then waited even longer. They were almost an hour late starting the music too. The music wasn’t live- just a DJ- so not sure what the issue was there. Lastly, we hoped for a fun night out listening to Disco music and instead got Madonna, Whitney Houston, and Dolly Parton. All in all, could have spent my better elsewhere.
Amazing venue to see a concert!! We saw Pepper and The Elovaters and they rocked the place. It's intimate and there's seating as well as standing space. Having a seat with a table was really nice. The beer is reasonably priced. We paid $5 for a 16oz PBR. We will definitely be back when we are in town again. This place is a must and tucked right in downtown.
