I also feel like I'm supporting the community by shopping here and buying local. The photo is random, but my husband loves this chocolate milk they sell!
Whether I’m popping in for a flavored drink before work, or full on grocery shopping…I LOVE being in this place. Great atmosphere and always has what I need. Especially when I’m looking for specific healthy options. I’ve even bought my Mom a plant from here. It’s a little pricey, but that’s how healthy is these days. ?One day I met a worker named Matthew in there while asking where something was, and now talking to him is my favorite part of going in there. His personality is warm, he’s got a great sense of humor, and HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. He’s a great representation of this place and deserves some recognition. You’re the man, Matthew B ?
Cute market! It’s just a meijer with healthier options really. I LOVE that they make you bring your own bags to reduce plastic use. I feel like I’m really making a difference for both the environment and my body when I shop there. They seem pretty cool with helping the homeless which I think is an attitude that most businesses in Grand Rapids severely lack. They have a bottle exchange which is nice, but the only downside is that you can’t redeem pop can coupons there which feels kinda classist lowkey but I can’t really prove it otherwise. Overall a cool spot
For years downtown residents asked for a full-scale grocery store downtown. Meijer stepped up and built the supermarket on a “postage stamp” sized piece of property and they did it well. Even though I don’t live downtown, I have shopped here numerous times. The product offering seems to be nearly as much as some of their larger stores. The prices are not inflated. As a matter of fact, today, I bought two items here which were lower cost than my regular Meijer store. Plus they have a large floral area, a sandwich and sushi(? shop, a large area of beer and wine, excellent produce and lastly, a HUGE amount of Ferris prepackaged nuts and candies.(That should give you a good idea of Bridge St. Market. Go. Eat.
