Shang Hai Ichiban - Grand Rapids

Went to celebrate a Birthday, never been there before, great Food, nice friendly and fun service, highly recommend, were looking forward to going there again

WoofI am writing my review as I am finishing my "meal", so the full shock of how in-impressive this experience was still hasn't fully sunken in.

I only come here because my sisters like to celebrate their birthdays here. We always dine on the hibachi side and it is always an enjoyable time but

While my family has always stopped in for the Hibachi experience, last night we picked up a huge take out order for a large birthday party. We gave them about 4 hours notice when we ordered and when we stopped in to pick it up, they loaded it on a cart and walked it out to our car for us. They took the time to go over everything to make sure they didn't forget anything. They explained what dishes needed to be stirred up before serving as well as what every sauce was. They put labels on everything for us which made it easy to share. The only complaint is that I'm not a huge fan of their sweet and sour sauce because it's very thick. Overall, this place didn't disappoint and never will. Friendly staff and quality food.

First experience here, the place looks nice with the statue and all that good stuff, I ordered the shrimp fried rice with vegetables and no I did not order no beef but it's was pretty good and well cooked, the employees were very polite and were real busy keeping up with everything and making sure everyone orders were correct, overall I give it 4 stars and definitely must check them out if your in the Grand Rapids/Holland, Michigan area
