Don's Dining - Grande Prairie

My coworker and I went to Acropolis on Thursday evening for a late dinner.

My partner and I stopped in here after a trip to the farmer's marketWe were there fairly early on a Friday night and it was quiet.

I was in town on business and my two colleagues and I wanted a "non chain" dinner option that didn't require a lengthy wait.

Take out supper on a Saturday. Preparation time was quick but food lacked flavor and was a bit disappointing. Have used this restaurant many times in the past but not for a few months prior to this visit. Perhaps a new cook on duty. The portions were large but the taste was not up to par.

Received a flyer in the mail, thought we'd give it a try, smaller restaurant in business mall setting, one waitress, one table set aside for owner, tables are crammed, we sat in front of the counter as they were busy during lunch hour, menu was the same piece of paper I received in mail, service was ok, we tried one of the specials, fried rice was not fresh, chicken looked like fish sticks cut into pieces, wonton soup ok, blinds on windows were beat, place needs a good cleaning & possible facelift. I was glad I went with a co-worker, had I taken a client possibly some embarrassment might have occurred.
