Hong Kong House - Grande Prairie

We've been ordering from Hong Kong House for years. Friendly service even on pick-up. Good selection and quality. The portions are generous.

We ordered takeout and for the portion sizes the prices are decent but the food has barely any flavour and I would’ve been better off just making it at home if I knew how bland it would be.

How do I come and ask for extra hot sauce, mind you the rice taste really bland, too salty so I need hot sauce. Tell me how they gonna charge me almost $8 for 2 small packs of hot sauce. Come on.......... Was overpriced before for bad quality now its extremely overpriced for the same quality. Will not be going there anymore. Matter fact at all. And it's sad cause I eat rice everyday.

We ordered delivery. Chicken Chow Mein. Beef and Brocolli, Egg Roll, Deep fried Chicken Wing. In all honesty it was a waste of money. The chow main came as a box of soggy noodles with a few chunks of over cooked chicken, there was virtually no flavor and the texture of the food was sloppy wet slippery mush. The deep fried wings looked like an attemp at copying something , they lacked originality. The egg rolls were very doughy and really lacked that western Chinese pizzaz we all expect. The beef and Brocolli was boring and I doubt the beef was velveted like it should be, very chewy. I will never eat at or order from the Hong Kong house again. Oh! Plus they don't supply plum sauce with their egg rolls.

Tonight called to voice worry about how late food was told 30-45 minutes but took well over hour after phone call to confirm order tried to mention third time happened plus how food last couple has not been what use to amazing food in past. She was to worried saying we busy it happens, no apology or wanting to listen how food was not good other times just kept over voicing and saying it happens. Next to no sauce on sweet and sour pork last few times also when mentioned same answer it happens. Not sure if this will be my still go to for Chinese as the love and passion just doesn’t seem to be there.
